Education remains the surest way out of a life of poverty. A classroom is not just a place where children learn to read and write; it is also a stronghold, keeping them away from exploitation, violence and abuse. The Education Now Initiative is an initiative that helps protect our children as well as provide children with quality education; help us reach more children by sponsoring a child's education for EGP 2,400 per year. This money will ensure that the child supported receives the following:

• - A high standard of education.
• - All necessary school supplies and materials (Uniforms/Stationery/Books/Meals/Aftercare Support)
• - Transportation to and from school.

The Education Now Initiative facilitates and guarantees quality education to 1,000 children who come from Cairo, Giza, Fayoum, Edfu and all over Egypt. Help us reach more children, and guarantee them a better future through education. It all starts with one.

Understanding the problem

Many children in Egypt live in slum areas and are extremely poor. Most of the parents in the slum areas are illiterate and have very poor numeracy skills. As a result of their poor education, their job prospects are very limited to non-existent. Unfortunately, an education for their children is a pipe-dream for many and the children are forced into work to help the family to survive. The Education Now Initiative aims to realize these dreams, and improve the lives of children living in poverty around Egypt through sponsoring their education, and ensuring them a better future and chance at life.
